MARY
Mary heard what the people in our communities
needed and fought for us in Hartford.
Mary serves as Vice Chair of the Children's
Committee, and is a member of the Education
Committee and the powerful Regulation Review Committee.
Mary listens, serves, and delivers for us.
Prior to serving in the Legislature, Mary was elected to the Orange Board of Education to protect and advocate for our children. While there, Mary served as the Vice Chair of the Finance subcommittee, and the Vice Chair of the Policy, Personnel, and Transportation subcommittee.
As part of a military family, Mary understands the value of service and citizenship.
Mary also served as Race Brook School PTA President and volunteers with Girl Scouts, as well as other groups throughout Orange.
Mary is a statewide Ambassador for the Sandy Hook Promise Organization, bringing their education-based gun violence prevention programs to organizations across the state.
Mary testified on behalf of SHP at the first official School Safety listening session for Congress, and helped successfully lobby for additional nationwide funding for prevention programs and responsible ERPO (red flag) policies to help keep our communities safer.
She and her husband, Matt, who teaches at Yale, runs a small business, and serves as an Assistant Boy Scout Leader,
are proud to be raising their family in Orange.
Mary has her feet on the ground in our District every day talking with her neighbors about their hopes and concerns.
